The Chair of Applied Mechanics, Physics and Engineering Pedagogy
HISTORY OF THE CHAIR
The Chair of Applied Mechanics, Physics and Engineering Pedagogy is one of the main and most important educational and scientific structural units not only of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, but also of the University.
The Chair activities are aimed at organizing and implementing educational, methodological, research, international, educational and career guidance work.
In 1952, the Chair of Strength of Materials was formed at the Faculty of Irrigation and Reclamation (FIR). In 1957, the Chair became part of the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization. In 1967, the Chair of Strength of Materials was divided into two chairs: Structural Mechanics as part of the FIR and Theory of Mechanisms and Machines, Machine Parts as part of the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization. In 1988, the Chair of Applied Mechanics was formed at the Chair of TMM and MP.
Since 1952, at different stages of the formation of the Chair of Applied Mechanics, there were the following Heads: V.Spekhalsky – the founder of the Chair of Strength of Materials, then he headed the Chair of Structural Mechanics (1952–1970); A. Toropov (Associate Professor – founder of the Chair of TMM and MP (1957–1978); I. Grabovoi, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor (1979–1981); V Molotnikov, Candidate of Technical Sciences (1979–1991), A. Kovshov, Ph.D., Associate Professor (1991–1993), Shurupov V.K. 1984–1994); Denisenko V. Ya., Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor (1978–1996); J. Turusbekov, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor (1998–1999); Ch. Elemanov, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor (1989–2008), J. Temirbekov (2000–2001), S. Nazarov (2001–2008), Melis uulu Danislan, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor (2008–2012) Since November 2012, the Chair has been headed by B. Toktonaliev, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor.
In 2013, the Academic Council established the Chair of Applied Mechanics and Physics at the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University. In 2015, by decision of the Academic Council of the KNAU, the Chair of Applied Mechanics, Physics and Engineering Pedagogics was formed, in connection with the merger of the Chairs of Applied Mechanics, Physics and Engineering Pedagogy and Psychology.
Currently, the Chair employs B. Toktonaliev, Head of the Chair, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor; J. Temirbekova, Doctor of Engineering Science, Professor; A. Kalmanbetova, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor: Ph.D., G. Sadyrova, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor; senior teachers J. Duishenova, U. Karasartov, J. Ismailova; teacher M. Japarova; K. Mamytov, Laboratory Assistant. The Chair academic degree holders rate is 50%.
SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH WORK OF THE CHAIR
In addition to academic work, the Chair conducts research work. Under the guidance of Doctor of Technical Sciences, professors: J. Temirbekov, B. Sultanaliev, the faculty members: Melis u. D., B. Toktonaliev, S.Turdukulov, Sh.Baydolotov, T.Tezekbaev, T.Dootuev, in cooperation with the JICA project (Japan), developed, designed and conducted experimental studies of the design of spreaders biofertilizers RZhB-1.0; RZHB–1.0K; RZHB–3.0K; organic fertilizer spreader ROU-3. To date, research and development work is underway to develop a heavy-duty organic fertilizer spreader and a potato digger.
Employees of the Chair B.Toktonaliev and G.Sadyrova are participants of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) in the project of “Vocational Education in Central Asia” funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of the Federal Republic of Germany (BMZ).
In recent years, employees have published more than 70 scientific papers and 15 guidelines and developments. 4 patents of the Kyrgyz Republic for inventions and utility models received.
Currently, the Chair employees are engaged in research work in the following areas:
- B. Toktonaliev is engaged in scientific research in the field of mechanization and automation of labor-intensive processes of agricultural production and forecasting the development of agricultural machinery
- A.Kalmanbetova is engaged in scientific research in the field of improving the efficiency of various mechanisms and systems of wheeled vehicles in mountainous conditions.
- G.Sadyrova is working on a doctoral dissertation on the topic “Evaluative Component in Artistic Discourse: Semantics and Pragmatics”. Scientific consultant is U.Kambaralieva, Doctor of Philology, Professor.
- U.Karasartov completed his Candidate’s dissertation on the topic “Development and justification of the main parameters of a machine for processing grain products.” Scientific adviser is Y.Osmonov, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor.
- M. Japarova M.A. is working on a Candidate’s dissertation on the topic “Substantiation the parameters of the installation for the preparation of koumiss in the conditions of transhumance horse breeding.” Scientific adviser is Y.Osmonov, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor.
