Department “Electrification and automation of agriculture”

 

The department “Electrification and automation of agriculture” is one of the oldest departments of the university, organized in 1972.

The department “Electrification and automation of agriculture” prepares:

bachelors in the direction

  • 640200 “Electric power industry and electrical engineering” on the profile:

                        “Power supply” (by industry).

                       “Electrical equipment and electrical technologies”;

  • 05.20.01 – Technologies and means of agricultural mechanization;
  • 05.20.02 – Electrical technologies and electrical equipment for agriculture.

       

The department has a rich history:

Department of “Electrification and Automation of Agriculture” was previously called: “Mechanization of animal husbandry” (1972 – 1987); “Mechanization of animal husbandry and electrification of agriculture” (1887-1995); “Mechanization of animal husbandry and life safety” (1995 – 1998); “Mechanization of animal husbandry and electrification of agriculture” (1998-2004); Electrification of agriculture and life safety” (2004 – 2017),

In 2017, the department was transformed and it became known as “Electrification and Automation of Agriculture”.

The first head and founder of the department is Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Eremenko V.N. (1972-1975).

During this period, Vasily Nazarich Eremenko made a great contribution to the creation of the material and technical base of the young department and the provision of scientific and pedagogical personnel. Subsequent years were in charge of the department; Ph.D. Associate Professor Kolotev A.A. (1975-1978).

  At present, the staff of the faculty of the department is 13 employees, of which 2 are doctors of technical sciences, 3 candidates of technical sciences, 2 masters and 1 graduate student.

Department of “Electrification and Automation of Agriculture” prepares bachelors in 2 areas and masters in 2 areas:

  • 640200 – “Electric power and electrical engineering”,

 Profile: “Power supply” (by industry).

  • 610300 “Agroengineering”, profile appoints bachelors in “Electrical Equipment and Electrical Technology”;

 

  • 610300 “Agroengineering” appoints masters in the field of “Electrical Equipment and Electrical Technology”;

 

  • 05.20.01 – Technologies of agricultural mechanization

and funds and prepares graduate students in 05.20.02 – Electrical Technology and Electrical Equipment for Agriculture.

Research work

The department conducts research work in the specialties 05.20.01 – Technologies and means of mechanization of agriculture, 05.20.02 – Electrical technologies and electrical equipment of agriculture and 05.13.05 – Elements of computer technology and control systems, in which the teaching staff is actively involved , graduate students, undergraduates and students.

The department is conducting research work, according to the project of the Scientific Research Work of the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic (Table 1), in which teaching staff and students actively participate. Every year teachers and students participate in scientific conferences and seminars, publish scientific papers, prepare reports on research work and research work of students.

Scientific research work with graduate students and applicants is carried out by professors of the department Osmonov Y.J., Kadyrov I.Sh.

The Dissertation Council for the specialty 05.20.01-Technologies and means of mechanization of agriculture and 05.20.02-Electrical technologies and electrical equipment of agriculture was created and successfully functions under the chairmanship of Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Osmonov Y.J.

Scientific – research work on the profile of the department is carried out by 3 doctoral students, 2 applicants and 1 graduate student.

A great contribution to the development of inventive activity and the popularization of engineering creativity for graduate students, applicants and students is made by Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Osmonov Y.J.

Doctor of Technical Sciences, Acting Professor Kadyrov I.Sh. is a member of the dissertation council D 05.19.590.

Employees of the department and students are actively engaged in inventive activities, repeatedly winning prizes at republican conferences and exhibitions.

The department provides consulting services and practical assistance to agricultural workers on topical issues of mechanization, electrification and automation of agriculture.

The employees of the department are producing an innovative production project “Installation for buying sheep” at the expense of the Kyrgyzpatent grant “Best Innovation -2017”.

Employees of the department lead 27 disciplines at two faculties in six areas.

For all disciplines and practices, educational and methodological complexes have been created, in particular: curricula for the discipline have been developed; guidelines for conducting practical classes and laboratory work; test tasks; prepared examination papers and questions for tests; prepared texts of lectures.

Teachers of the department use modern methods, in particular, the presentation form of lectures with the use of multimedia equipment.

Over the past 5 years, the department has prepared more than 30 guidelines for the educational process.

There are specialized laboratories at the department: “Electrical Engineering and Electronics”, “Lighting Engineering and Electrical Technology”, “Installation of Electrical Equipment and Automation”, “Electric Drive and Electrical Equipment”, “Electrical Machines and Apparatus”, which allows you to qualitatively organize the conduct of laboratory and practical classes in disciplines departments.

Since 2016, work has begun to modernize the laboratory and replace obsolete laboratory equipment with modern equipment. The staff of the department developed, assembled and put into operation the following laboratory stands: a laboratory stand for electrical engineering, relay protection and automation, a solar plant was installed.

In order to consolidate theoretical knowledge in general professional and special disciplines, acquire production experience and practical skills in installation, operation, technology and organization of repair of machines and technological equipment, students of the department are sent to the agro-industrial complex enterprise and to regional electric networks throughout the republic for practical training.

Graduation papers at the department are focused on the use of real production materials, analysis of specific situations at the enterprises of the energy system. Students sent to energy enterprises perform scientific work and final qualifying works on topics relevant to these enterprises. Topics of master’s and candidate’s dissertations are also determined by the scientific interests of the energy system of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Involvement of highly qualified specialists of energy production in conducting classes, acquaintance of students with modern energy equipment increases the interest of students and ensures the quality of training of specialists.

Graduates of the department have the opportunity to continue their studies in the magistracy in the direction of “Agroengineering” profile “Electrical equipment and electrical technologies

Educational work

        Educational work at the department “Electrification and Automation of Agriculture” is carried out in accordance with the plan approved at the beginning of the academic year at the Academic Council of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology of KNAU named after K.I. Skryabin. In accordance with the goals and objectives of educating young people, educational work is carried out in the following areas:

  1. Plan of curatorial, educational work.
  2. Schedule of curatorial hours.
  3. Duty schedule in hostel No. 3.
  4. Schedule of master classes of curatorial hours.
  5. Familiarization of 1st year students with educational buildings of the university, reading rooms, library, study regimen, internal rules of the university and dormitories.
  6. Conversations with parents.

 

          Individual conversations with students who have poor academic performance, as well as absenteeism for unexcused reasons.

Organization and holding of student scientific conferences.

Preparing and holding an “Open Doors Day”.

Preparation and holding of cultural – mass and sports events.

The department supervises courses from 1 to 4 in two areas: “Agroengineering” and “Power Supply”.

The educational process is a continuous and integral part of the entire educational process. At the meetings of the department, educational work is carried out with underachieving and missing students, which is reflected in the minutes of the meetings of the department and has a good result. The curators of groups in all courses have established contact with parents.

Throughout the academic year, systematic work is carried out on career guidance among graduates of schools, colleges, and lyceums. To do this, a person responsible for career guidance is appointed, who takes an active part in organizing the recruitment of students, distributing prospectuses in the specialty and specializations, conducting interviews among graduates, conducting trial testing, and organizing duties during the admission company.
